Matt Bromley is an education journalist and author with twenty years’ experience in teaching and leadership. He also works as a school improvement advisor, speaker, and trainer.

Matt writes for various newspapers and magazines including The Times Educational Supplement, Headteacher Update, SEN Leader Magazine, School Business Manager Magazine, Children & Young People Now, and School Inspection+Improvement Magazine. He has a regular column in SecEd Magazine which is distributed to every secondary school in England and is a member of SecEd’s editorial board.

He is the author of numerous best-selling books for teachers – published by Autus Books and, more recently, Spark Books – including ‘How to Become a School Leader’, ‘How to Lead’, ‘Making Key Stage 3 Count’, ‘The IQ Myth’, ‘Teach’ and ‘Teach 2’. He also edited ‘SPaG Book’ and ‘Outstanding Literacy’. His latest book, ‘How to Learn’, was published in 2017.

His education blog has been voted one of the UK’s most influential and receives over 50,000 visitors a year.
